I read this on the 1st of January, 2022 and I found this very important (Take a deep dive into your year month by month) and it prompted me to start a daily reflection which may give me more sense of accomplishment. Then I thought to come up with something like a 1% Daily Challenge for the next 365 days, I quickly designed a simple excel sheet to track my daily achievement.

The goal is to do something that at night I will fill and say, well-done, you did well and at the end of the month, I can reflect on that much better.

Hey Hafeez. Combining daily goal setting and reflecting 👏🏿 This is not easy to sustain but if you can it would compound massively. I believe this can boost daily production. And in a way that you easily guage whether you're moving in the direction. I am curious to know how this 1% daily challenge will go👍🏿

Yeah yeah, you are very right about the sustainability of the goal setting and the reflection. It would have been daily assessment in my earlier comment.

For the daily challenge progress you are curious about, I can say that tracking one's output is really good, I just realized that sometimes I do things but not in a productive way. My 4 day excel sheet has been proving some funny daily result to me. I haven't had 5/5 🙂 but I am glad there is a 1% growth. There is still more to go.

😁 nonlinear growth is also good. I have to think of this daily assessment myself

That's lovely.

Great piece. Most times we don’t reflect on our annual experiences which as you rightly put it, we tend to make same mistakes of the previous years when similar situations occur.

Thank you oga Yusuf. I realise that reflection is taught in nursery and primary schools in some educational curricula. It is that simple. Pupils reflect on daily class experiences and the identify lessons. If we never make the same mistake twice, I imagine our lives would easily get better

Thank you, Theodore. Yes, it is practical. Last week I saw the question posted "What is your most important lesson from 2021?" I didn't know how to answer the question. But I knew the question is important. I followed the steps and felt happy with the result.
